What is CBD?

CBD, short form for Cannabidiol is a compound of the Cannabis plant.

Made from hemp, CBD oil is a natural, plant based food supplement.

Hundreds of thousands of people in the UK alone are using CBD oil as a supplement to support their health and wellbeing.

CBD oil can be taken in a variety of ways, including sublingually, (under the tongue), orally and even topically, (on the skin), through vaping, capsules, edibles and so on. No one can guarantee that CBD oil will work for you. CBD is not a “miracle cure-all.” But it can be an effective supplement and another “tool in the toolbox” to achieve wellness. It’s likely that finding the “right” type, brand and dosage for you will take some experimentation.

Using CBD for Inflammation

The body produces endocannabinoids, which are neurotransmitters that bind to cannabinoid receptors in your nervous system. Studies have shown that CBD may help support chronic pain by impacting endocannabinoid receptor activity, reducing inflammation and interacting with neurotransmitters

The potential of cannabis to support the epidemic of chronic inflammatory disease is truly incredible. It may not be a miracle cure, but the number of people who find relief through it is miraculous enough. Better still, there’s no catch (well, except maybe federal regulations, depending on where you live).
